How does it work?

Well, you sign up your website, add a small piece of code to your site and then wait for the site to be approved. Once approved, you will start displaying small ads with links. For each page (allocation of points depends on page rank) these small ads are placed, you get points and at any time you can cash in your points for cash via paypal. It is THAT SIMPLE.

Owners of top ranking sites with high PR and CI indicators that don't have time to track the statistics in our system (because by default payments depend on page statistics and number of ads displayed), and don't have the need to serve their ads through our system, can agree for us to buy out small, but noticeable advertising spots on their sites for serving of text ads. We will agree on the monthly fee for adding our code to your pages, and pay this fee in advance.

Prices that we pay for the ads are agreed with the site owner before placement. We take into consideration a number of factors, such as: site's subject, site's CI and PR, popularity (used to define the site's coefficient), number of external link on pages, number and quality of pages, site's design, its position in ratings, catalogues and search engines, current market prices for links on the main page of a similar site, and many other factors. Sometimes we can overpay just to see old top ranking sites in our system because it will improve the average quality of advertising spots offered to the advertisers and partners.

I wrote about the benefits of TNX in a recent post but I also have to say that I just made my first $16 selling back generated points from the system and now I have been in the system a month or so I am accumulating points at record pace.

I recently posted about Adult friendfinder and its affiliate program. It's no really appropriate for any of my blogs for obvious reasons but, the same company has a whole host of different businesses that are not all sexually oriented. By signing up as an affiliate, you can chose from this list of sites to promote as an affiliate from the friend finder site to others like an online card sending site and an email service. I signed up and will promote a few of the non sexually oriented websites on my other sites to see how it goes...

You know, I have had little luck with affiliate programs. Folks read the articles but, if they sign up, they sure don't use my affiliate link. I wish you would. It costs you nothing but it helps me if you sign up using my affiliate id. However, I finally received an affiliate payment. It was $5 and from Sponsored Reviews. Apparently, an advertiser signed up using my id and spent some money. It cost them nothing extra but it paid me. Nice but to really make some money blogging having affiliates is a must - how else do you think the John Chows of this world do so well?

So - here are some affiliate programs you can sign up for that in so doing, would put some money in my pocket too.

A good program matching advertisers with bloggers. Essentially advertisers solicit bids from bloggers to write articles promoting their products. It works - I used it with some very nice results.

The Amazon affiliate program is worth signing up for but it doesn't pay a whole lot unless you really focus on books in your blog. Actually, it's strange but some months I sell several books off of my sites and then other months - zilch...

But the affiliate program has been really beefed up by Amazon in terms of the tools they offer. Firstly, you can build your own branded store - it's called aStore - and then link to it from your site. What's neat is that the store you create has all of the Amazon features so even if you only list certain books there, once in your store, the buyer is offered lots of other ways to find books that they may buy.

Next, Amazon has added some new widgets. Although a tad slow to load they are pretty neat. Check this one out (below) for example. You'll find tons of different widgets to use in all sizes and shapes.

Altogether it's a good program for making an extra buck or two periodically from your site.

I was running through my web stats the other day paying attention to where hits where originating and found several from a thing called keywordspy. With a name like that I decided to go over and see what it actually was.
